Teachers guide students in digital literacy utilizing collaborative learning techniques to engage and enlighten perspectives.
JDO provides comprehensive ongoing professional development for teachers. The goal of JDO professional development is to identify a teacher's baseline knowledge, develop a plan to ensure skill development for successful program participation, and build proficiency throughout a teacher's career.
Teacher Self-Assessment- This assessment enables JDO to identify current teacher proficiency utilizing Google tools in a classroom setting and offer meaningful training for successful classroom collaboration. It also guides JDO in ensuring appropriate partner pairing.
JDO Personal Training Plan- This plan includes 1:1 training (via video conference) and online training on the following subject matter: Digital Citizenship; Student Collaboration and Project Based Learning; Google Classroom/Tools; Google Hangouts/Meet; and other as identified by JDO. Each training plan is specific to the teacher and their development goals.

JDO hosted a collaboration conference for international partners in Rome, Italy! This
conference provided an excellent opportunity for international JDO partners to come
together for valuable training and the opportunity to network and share collaboration
strategies and experiences. Teachers and Administrators from 16 countries were in
attendance. These included: England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Italy, Iceland,
Sweden, Finland, Poland, Croatia, Spain, Brazil, Uganda, India, and the United States.

JDO hosted a collaboration conference for U.S. partners in Littleton, Colorado! This
conference enabled U.S. partner teachers and administrators to meet and receive valuable
training and share collaboration strategies and experiences. We were excited to have
representatives from 10 states in attendance. These included Colorado, Texas, Florida,
Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Missouri, California, Wyoming, and Wisconsin.
